Meeting Minutes
Meeting called to order at 7:00pm
Roll Call made quorum was present.
Sick Call; Dave Kemp
Guest; Girl Scout Troop 601, cookie giveawy
Motion made to accept the minutes of last meeting, by Ron Herr. 2nd by Mike Hartman
1st Vice Commander; 2026 goal is 230 we are at 192 for 83.48%. Just sent out 167 membership letters to Old, New and just moved to the area from other posts, to join us.
2nd Vice-Commander; Draft beer is now available at the canteen.
Finance Report read, motion made by Mike Severeson to accept, 2nd by Marvin, motion carried.
Kelvin brought forth from the E-board meeting with Prime America the
Wish to open a Money Market Account with Prime America for $2,000. From the
General account.
The commander Scott Tighe and Finance Officer to be signers on the account.
Brought before the general membership for a vote, a motion was made Jay Erb, 2nd by
Cordell Cropper. Motion carried.
Sgt at Arms; Read a report of issues and events from this date in history
Historian; Excused, no report
Chaplin; No Report.
Committee Reports:
Baseball; No recent discussions with the city land swap on the ballpark. Still looking to hold a pizza/ burger bash for the players and their families.
Jr. Shooting; Eric Hawes is looking to take over the Shooting program. Will work with Randle Barnham to get the book and keys back.
Sons of the American Legion; Goal is 15, we have members 13 paid for 86%. Anyone that knows of potential member, please see Commander Tighe.
Building Committee; Looking for some to take a position as chairman, or anyone that just has wants to help out, old building lots to do, doesn’t have to be regular. Flag pole light and sign lighting has been repaired.
Grant Committee; One of 4 items on current grant list completed. Please submit any ideas for building improvement to Jay for consideration.
Old Business; Memorial Bricks lowered to $50.00. LIT sign-ups next meeting. Post is open 12-4 daily with a salad bar.
Caldwell Veterans Board still looking for Nampa AL representation.
New Business;
Post Nominations are now open for all officer positions. If you wish to be an officer of the post, see Ron to be on the ballot. Election in May.
Saturday breakfast has been successful, thank you and we will continue, we will forgo the April event for our Annual Pancake feed April 11th.
Looking for members to join Eric for a Post Car Show committee for May 9th
Looking for members to join Scott Mac for a Casino night committee for May 9th
We are having a Yard Sale June 6th, looking for donations and members to help set up and sell. Great succuss last year. Donations can be brought in at any time.

Motion made to accept the minutes of last meeting
1st Vice Commander; 2026 goal is 230 we are at 181 for 78.70% . Just sent out 167 membership letters to Old, New and just moved to the area from other posts, to come join us. 
2nd Vice-Commander; $668 made from morning coffee.
Finance Report read, motion made and carried to accept.
Sgt at Arms; No Report
Historian; Read from 1930’s past post reports.
Chaplin; No Report.

Jr. Shooting; Still looking to activate.
Sons of the American Legion; Just starting the year. Goal is 15 we have members 10 paid for 66,67%. Anyone knows of potential member, please see Commander Tighe.

Ron Herr made motion to accept February minutes, 2nd by Eric McDonough
1st Vice report: Membership goal 230, currently at 178, for 78%
2nd Vice report post is open multiple times a week. If open sign is out Post is open. Come on in.
Finance Officer reported and posted report in canteen. Cordell made a motion to accept, Mike Hartman 2nd
Sgt at Arms reported on the story items in history that happened on this day.
Baseball Land swap with city, looks like a go for 10yrs guaranteed
Jr. Shooting need committeeman
Legion Riders President Jeff has left to reside in Arizona.
Sons of American Legion 15-member goal at 10 paid.
Building committee need committeeman, Flag lights and hallway will be repaired.  
Grant Committee Approved for $10,400 due diligence inspection, ½ check was received.  
Old business bricks for sale, report on Past Dept Adjutant legal status.
New business

Legion Insurance trust sign up
Caldwell Veterans Council looking for Nampa representative.
